Cloud Network Engineer (10x)

Cova Strategies is seeking skilled and motivated AWS Cloud Network Engineer with a minimum of four years
of professional experience to join our employee-centric engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical
part in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available cloud network
architectures within the AWS ecosystem.

Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy, and manage AWS-based network infrastructure, including VPCs, subnets, route tables,
NAT gateways, transit gateways, VPNs, and Direct Connect.
• Configure and manage network security using AWS services such as security groups, NACLs, and AWS
Network Firewall.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and efficient connectivity across on-prem
and cloud environments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network-related issues, optimizing performance and reliability.
• Automate network configuration and monitoring using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as
CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Ensure cloud network compliance with industry best practices and client security standards.
• Document architectures, processes, and procedures related to cloud networking.

Security Clearance:
Active TS-SCI required.

Citizenship:
Due to the clearance requirement, all candidates must be U.S. citizens.

Hybrid

Pay Rate:
$150K - $180K

Please note, the compensation range for this position is determined by a comprehensive evaluation of multiple
factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s skills, experience, education, certifications, and the
specific needs of the organization.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• Active TS-SCI security clearance required.
• Must be willing to work onsite in Hanover, MD., one day/week.
• Network + or relevant AWS certifications (AWS certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Advanced
Networking)

Required Skills:
• 4+ years of experience in network engineering with a strong focus on AWS cloud networking.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining AWS networking services (e.g., VPC, Transit Gateway,
Direct Connect, etc.).
• Experience with network monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting in AWS.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
