Active TS-SCI with FS poly required.

Pay Rate
Please note, the compensation range for this position is determined by a comprehensive evaluation of multiple
factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s skills, experience, education, certifications, and the
specific needs of the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide cloud software research, development, and engineering services to include requirements analysis,
    software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing,
    validation, and issue diagnosis/resolution.

  • Design, implement and test new features and capabilities for Apache/Accumulo needed to support large
    content and metadata repositories.

  • Conducting Apache/Accumulo training sessions, which include hands-on software configuration and
    programming exercises.

  • Developing web-based user interfaces to support search and presentation of operational data and
    developing web services that provide REST-based APIs to the content and metadata repositories.

  • Developing algorithms to operate on large volumes of operational metadata. This work will investigate
    advanced parallel programming techniques for implementing analytics that can effectively run on
    petabyte-scale operational data set in a secure manner. The mission relevant analytics will be designed,
    implemented, tested for deployment in the content and metadata repositories.


Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with FS Polygraph security clearance required.

  • Must be willing to work onsite five days/week.

  • Within the last ten (10) years, a minimum of seven (7) years experience combined programming with all of
    the following languages: Java, C++, or Python

  • Within the last seven (7) years, a minimum of five (5) years experience designing and developing
    applications in a Windows or UNIX/Linux operating environment

  • Within the last three five (5) years, a minimum of three (3) years experience with OpenSource (NoSQL)
    products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Apache
    Accumulo, or Big Table

  • Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with Map/Reduce

  • Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with the Hadoop Distributed File
    System (HDFS)

  • Within the last three (3) years, a minimum of one (1) year experience with requirements analysis and design
    for one (1) or more object-oriented systems

  • Within the past two (2) years, six (6) months development experience with Kubernetes, Amazon Web
    Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Computing Services

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline; an associate's degree in computer science or related discipline and two (2) years programming experience or five (5) years programming experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
